Job Description

The Fitness Consultant is responsible for promoting and selling memberships to potential new members and selling renewals/upgrades to current gym members. Major Responsibilities: Generates sales through Company–sponsored (walk-ins and TIs) and employee-sponsored (outreach and promotions). Maintains accurate records of all Company-sponsored and employee-sponsored activities. Follows up on all prospects using established Gold’s Gym sales systems. Conducts telephone inquiries following Gold’s Gym sales protocols. Establishes and maintains a minimum of 10 lead boxes/bowls in the community monthly. Maintains a referral program as defined by Gold’s Gym standards. Stays current on Gold’s Gym pricing and promotional schedules. Maintains information on club history, background, philosophy, facilities, staff, and policies. Adheres to and enforces company policies and procedures related to gym operations. Develops and enhances selling skills. Prepares for, attends, and actively participates in sales meetings. Maintains positive relationships with staff and supports team goals. Participates in all scheduled meetings as directed by management. Completes the FC Training courses successfully. Qualifications & Requirements: High school diploma and some college coursework; college degree (Associate or Bachelor’s) preferred. Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to pass all testing requirements including gym tours, telephone inquiries, audits, and outreach programs. Ability to meet acceptable units per month sales targets. Thorough understanding of Gold’s Gym’s membership sales systems. Understanding of the Daily Sales Stat report and its contents. Basic computer skills. Current CPR Certification.
