Senior Software Engineer (HP NonStop)

What does a successful Senior Software Engineer (HP NonStop) do at Fiserv?

Fiserv is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (HP NonStop) to join our Core Acquiring Front End engineering group within Fiserv’s Global Business Solutions (Payment Acceptance) business

You will be joining an organization responsible for mission critical platforms that support our payments acquiring business. We process over 350 million payment transactions per day with a peak throughput of over 8,000 transactions per second all while maintaining millisecond fast response time. All this is done for some of the largest merchants in the US.
This fast-paced online transaction processing environment requires a passionate critical problem solver who can balance platform stability and resiliency along with modern engineering practices and solutions.

What you will do:

• Leverage your expertise as a full-time, hands-on software engineer on an online transaction processing (OLTP) application based in C and TAL on the HP NonStop platform
• Deliver quality code to integration testing, certification, and production environments while interacting with customers to troubleshoot issues real time
• Automate testing and deployments through CI/CD processes (play a QE role as necessary)
• Own responsibility for design, build and support of aligned application(s) or platform(s)
• Create tech stories, participate in code reviews, and support production
• Design performant, efficient, effective, and reusable technical solutions
• Partner effectively with DevOps, Production Support, and peer platform teams as well as teams across the business
• Manage large application configurations as well as application specific merchant configurations

What you will need to have:

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering roles
• 7+ years of experience with HP NonStop
• 5+ years of experience with C and TAL
• 5+ years of experience with Enscribe, Pathway, DDL, and SQL Server MP (NonStop)
• 3+ years of experience in payments processing
• 3+ years of experience engineering OLTP applications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience

What would be great to have:

• Experience in payments or FinTech domain
• Experience in SQL MX and OSS

Salary Range

$124,300.00 - $213,100.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company’s sole discretion.
