Facilities Department Mechanic 

Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday
Overtime may be required

KEITH Walking Floor Systems provide horizontal loading/unloading solutions for bulk materials, pallets, bales and rolls. The company’s state of the art production facility in Madras, Oregon operates using Lean Manufacturing practices. We are seeking high performance team members with a commitment to quality work with a positive attitude.

Essential Functions

• Maintain company cars, trucks, forklifts, and other industrial equipment as necessary.


• Responsible for mechanical duties including locate problems, troubleshoot, repair and test components, replace worn parts, perform preventive routine maintenance, and install new structures and fixtures at the facility.


• Able to work from prints or instructions from manager to repair or construct in accordance with codes.


• Meets agreed on Company and department goals on time.


• Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.


• Able to communicate in English with team members (Speak and reading, writing ability required.)


• May be required to pass employer performance tests including pre-employment drug screening.


• Previous mechanical experience required.


• Valid driver’s license.


• Effective problem-solving skills.


• Working knowledge of PC, and MS products.


• Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently requiring little or no supervision.


• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.


• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.

Working Conditions

• Works in all areas of the facility.


• Daily exposure to continual noise from machines.


• Exposure to indoor and outdoor temperatures.

Equipment/Machinery Used

• Variety of machinery, equipment, power tools and hand tools.

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit or stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time.


• Able to lift 25 lbs.


• Able to climb ladders and perform duties at heights over 6 feet.
