Pay Rate: $39.73 - $43.20
Guaranteed: 36 hours

Available Shifts:  

• Days (Rotating Weekends): 7a-7p
• Nights(Rotating Weekends): 7p-7a

Job Summary and Qualifications:
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
• - Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of Acute Care Med-Surg RN experience Required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree

• Who does this position report to? Brandi Traxler is the Director at this time. The Manager position is open.
• Why is the position open? These were just open in September
• How long has it been open? We just opened all the position this month.
• How many total beds are in the unit? Med/Surg West 24 beds and Med/Surg East has 28
• Have you extended any offers to candidates? Not recently
• What are the qualities that you like and dislike in candidates that you have seen so far? High energy, positive attitude, team player, willing to learn and take feedback
• What level trauma is this facility? Not a trauma facility
• How does your interview process work? They must screen with the recruiter (Lillian Rolan) first.
• Phone call / zoom /onsite – We try to have the candidate come the site for interviewing but we will do Webex
• Who will be on the interview with them? The Director, Peers.
• Who has final say on hiring? The Director/CNO
