Title: Maintenance Manager & Technician

Shift: Full-time, M-F day shift

Salary: $34-$38/hr 

Maintenance Manager & Technician Role:

This role exists to ensure the seamless operation of all production machinery and mechanical equipment through proactive preventative maintenance, effective troubleshooting, and timely repairs. The position is designed for an individual who will also grow into a leadership role, ultimately managing the entire maintenance department.

Maintenance Manager & Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments 
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery, adjusting functional parts and control instruments
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment as needed
• Maintain accurate inventories of equipment, parts, and supplies, anticipating needs and placing orders
• Collaborate with production management to schedule machine downtime and establish preventative maintenance schedules
• Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance database and schedule for all machinery
• Establish and maintain standard maintenance practices, procedures, and documentation, including in CMMS software
• Train, mentor, and eventually oversee future maintenance technicians
• Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment according to all procedures, rules, and regulations
• Manage vendor relationships effectively for maintenance parts and services

Maintenance Manager & Technician Reporting Relationships:

Initially, this role will report to Senior Production Management. The successful candidate will be developed to eventually manage the maintenance department and oversee all maintenance technicians.

About You:

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of AC/DC voltage and complex electrical systems
• Possess proven experience with machine moving, rigging, and equipment installation
• Show proficiency in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of industrial machinery, including CNC, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems
• Exhibit excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities for mechanical and electrical equipment
• Have solid experience with preventative maintenance programs and inventory management for spare parts and supplies
• Be adept at reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and manufacturers' manuals
• Display strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a clear aptitude for training and mentoring team members
• Be capable of fabricating or modifying parts using machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, and welders
• Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Possess the ambition, leadership potential, and aptitude to grow into a management role overseeing a maintenance department
• Have experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and utilize such software
• Be a proactive, results-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
