Job Description

Incumbents are responsible for aspects of Physician Practice front office management and operation as assigned. May be responsible for some or all front office functions including patient registration, pre-certification, charge capture, coding diagnoses, posting payments, balancing reports, arranging pre-payments, billing, insurance claims processing, patient liaison duties, appointment scheduling, cashiering, insurance follow-up, outpatient coding, chart management, collections, and maintaining confidentiality. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding preferred, and adherence to Prisma Health's values. This is a non-management position reporting to a supervisor or manager. Education required is a High School diploma or equivalent, with an Associate degree preferred. No previous experience required but multi-specialty group practice experience is preferred. Work shift is during the day at the Hand Center in Greenville, SC.
