Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Director to lead our organization's safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in occupational health and safety, with the ability to develop training programs and implement effective safety policies. This role is crucial in fostering a culture of safety within the workplace, minimizing risks, and promoting the well-being of all employees.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with federal, state and local safety regulations.
• Lead companywide safety meetings, workshops, awareness campaigns and development programs for employees on first aid, CPR, and general workplace safety practices.
• Collaborate with management to conduct root cause analysis of incidents and develop strategies for prevention.
• Facilitate communication between departments regarding safety issues and promote a culture of continuous improvement in occupational health practices.
• Prepare reports on safety performance metrics for management review.

Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 8+ years in construction safety leadership roles.
• Proven experience in a safety management role, preferably as a Safety Director or similar position.
• Certified Safety Professional (CPS) or equivalent certification .
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Experience in training development related to occupational health and safety practices.
• Familiarity with first aid, CPR certification, and other emergency response protocols.
• Excellent analytical skills for conducting root cause analysis of incidents.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey safety information across all levels of the organization.
