The Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Disruptive Computing (DC&N) software capability is seeking a Software Engineer/Scrum Master (Experienced/Senior) in El Segundo, CA or Westlake Village, CA . The position will involve creating software for world class, next generation disruptive systems and technologies. The selected candidate will work with the Disruptive Computing & Networks (DC&N) product team focused on the concept, requirements, architecture, design and development of a future system. Position Responsibilities: Designs, develops, tests, and maintains software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software products Develops, maintains, enhances and optimizes software products and functionalities for systems integrations Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products Debugs and resolves issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products Handles user inquiries, troubleshoots technical issues and user feedback analysis Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development Develops, establishes, monitors and improves software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks Executes and documents software research and development projects Advises on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations Performs software project management activities and software supplier management functions Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 3+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real-time or non-real-time system 3+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test) 3+ years of experience with configuration management and collaboration tools such as (or similar to) Git, Jira, Collaborator, Beyond Compare, and VersionOne 3+ years of experience acting in an agile (SCRUM) leadership roles of Product Owner and/or Scrum Master Experience with C++, Python, or other programming languages Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified SAFe Scrum Master Active Secret with the ability to obtain TS/SCI post-start Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with Poly 5+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real time or non-real-time system Experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, etc). Travel: Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 25%.
