Wastewater Treatment Environmental Engineer

Location: Great Lakes Region

A leading global innovator in advanced materials processing is seeking an experienced Wastewater Treatment Environmental Engineer to keep complex wastewater systems safe, efficient, and fully compliant with strict environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and optimize wastewater treatment processes.
• Ensure systems meet production needs and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Analyze plant data and recommend improvements for performance and cost savings.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and oversee system upgrades.
• Collaborate with production and compliance teams.
• Develop SOPs and provide training to operators.
• Prepare reports and lead continuous improvement projects.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related).
• 5+ years of wastewater engineering experience (industrial or high-tech preferred).
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Solid knowledge of wastewater treatment methods and environmental regulations (NPDES, effluent standards).
• Certifications in wastewater or environmental engineering are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, plus occasional support for 24/7 operations.
